The challenge

One union, dozens of countries, and a lot to keep everyone informed about.

The Sambo Union of Asia and Oceania unites national sambo federations from 36 countries. Athletes, coaches, referees and federations all need the same things from it: the competition calendar, the latest news, rules, regulations and official documents.

The union needed an official website that brings all of this together, that its own team can keep up to date, and that links to the international FIAS systems federations already use.

Our solution

A clear official site the union's team runs itself

The homepage introduces the union with a full-screen slider, then leads to its structure, national members, rules, uniforms and suppliers, the upcoming events and the latest news.

We built it on WordPress, so the union's team publishes news, events and documents without a developer. The menu links straight to the FIAS athlete database, rankings and belt grading system.
